EBI’s student housing team understands the need to deliver student housing that responds to evolving building formats and amenities. Our experts help create strategies that adapt to a more institutionalized market in collaboration with universities for on-campus projects and private owners for off-campus developments. Approaches may involve our experts working with university staff or private developers to guide the land acquisition transaction, navigate the entitlement process, create a design concept, incorporate intelligent environmental design, develop the building’s construction plan, or manage the project schedule.

EBI was engaged by Newbury College to complete a Property Condition Report in conformance with industry standards. The Subject Property was reportedly developed as separate residential properties in the late 19th century, then later redeveloped as a college beginning in the late 1950’s through the mid-1960’s. The liberal arts college is located on a 7.87-acre lot, improved with eight 2- to 3-story, multi-use academic and operational buildings, as well as three small secondary appurtenant buildings used as storage sheds or meeting rooms. The property’s primary buildings are used for academic and dormitory spaces which total a gross occupied area of approximately 142,526 square feet.
