Each Local Housing Authority (LHA) has multiple properties to be assessed and the finding for each assessment needed to be uploaded into DHCD’s facilities management database. The state funded public housing includes low income, veteran, special needs, family in transition and elderly housing. Buildings range from high rise to garden style to three family to single family across urban, suburban, and rural areas.
Issues uncovered during the assessments range from mechanical equipment failures and roofing concerns, to pavement deficiencies and interior finishings in need of repair or replacement. EBI assisted the local housing authorities and overall state funding agency with the information they needed to ensure that vulnerable populations around the state have safe, healthy, and acessible housing options.
